Ana Leonor Romero holds a PhD in History (Universidad de Buenos Aires), is a researcher at the Instituto de Historia Argentina y Americana “Dr. Emilio Ravignani” (UBA) and a teacher at Universidad de Buenos Aires. Currently, she is the Director of PolHis, Revista Bibliográfica del Programa Interuniversitario de Historia Política. She has participated in several research projects. Her current research focuses on the role of Congress in Argentina at the end of the nineteenth century. She has published “Tensions between Congress and the Executive in 19th Century Argentina: Federal Intervention and Separation of Powers”, Parliaments, Estates and Representation Vol. 37, N°2 (Winner of the 2016 Emile Lousse Prize) (co-author with Laura Cucchi) and “El ‘escándalo Magnasco’. Denuncia pública y controversias sobre el papel del Congreso en la Argentina del 1900”. Jahrbuch für Geschichte Lateinamerikas, 56 (2019), among others.
